Sometimes the three are presented as separate genres, and sometimes they’re lumped together as Mystery/Suspense, or Suspense/Thriller. Dog loving mystery readers should enjoy this entertaining read. For me, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Genres are pretty much self explanatory. What makes Thornburg’s story unique is that the “murderer,” a big money man by the name of J. I want a novel to stand alone, though I’d love to find a character that has return potential – not so much the traditional grizzled DCI with a dark secret, but perhaps a character from a more unusual or forensic background.
